Champion
In 1919, in Rochester, New York, two brothers, Abe and William Feinbloom, started a wholesale business dealing in knit products—this was the beginning of the Champion Knitwear Company. Starting with the production and sale of sweaters, Champion’s high quality quickly gained recognition, and soon they began receiving orders for sweatshirts as underwear. These sweatshirts later caught the U.S. military’s attention as training wear, and also became popular as athletic wear at universities. Eventually, through university bookstores (co-ops), the sweatshirts spread further, becoming a staple “town wear” item among general students. Eventually, Champion also made its way into the world of professional sports.
Over 100 years since its birth, Champion, the American sports casual brand, continues to evolve. The brand’s history began here in Rochester.
Champion has always been dedicated to quality, continually challenging themselves to create better products. Their craftsmanship—which focuses meticulously on details such as functional design, durability, materials, and sewing—remains a hallmark to this day. In Japan as well, Champion is beloved by many fans and known as “The King of Sweatshirts”.

1919年，在纽约州罗切斯特市，两兄弟Abe和William Feinbloom开始了针织产品的批发业务，这便是冠军针织服装公司的起源。他们从生产和销售毛衣起步，凭借出色的品质，冠军公司开始接到用作内衣的卫衣订单。这种卫衣后来被美国军方选作训练服，并受到大学体育运动团队的关注。通过大学书店（生协），卫衣又扩展成为一般学生们常穿的“城镇服装”。不久后，冠军品牌也进入了职业体育的世界。

CONVERSE
The history of Converse began in 1908 in Malden, Massachusetts, USA. Marquis M. Converse, who was a manager at Beacon Falls Rubber Company, took note of the region’s heavy snowfall, dense forests, and wetlands, and established the Converse Rubber Shoe Company. The following year, he began manufacturing rubber shoes that could be worn for work, even in rain and snow. His foresight was spot on, and Converse’s rubber shoes gained overwhelming support for their high quality. By 1910, Converse had grown into an influential local company with 350 employees. Since then, Converse has continued to release hit items such as the CONVERSE ALL STAR and JACK PURCELL one after another.
